Cableway – Veľký Kriváň – Chleb – Cottage under Chleb

Description: Take a cableway from the car park in Vrátna. The ride takes about 10 minutes. Follow the red mark from Snilovské saddle (1,524 metres above sea level) to the highest peak of Malá Fatra – Veľký Kriváň (1,709 metres above sea level). The ascent takes about 40 minutes. Then we recommend returning back to Snilovské saddle and continue to Chleb (1,647 metres above sea level). You should manage it in about one hour. If you do not want to return by the red trail back to the saddle, you can continue along the red trail from Chleb to the saddle behind Hromový (1,605 metres above sea level). Turn right to the yellow trail and continue to Kopiská (1,450 metres above sea level). The trail goes through a plain terrain along the side of the main ridge. The last 10-minute section to the Cottage under Chleb (Chata pod Chlebom; 1,415 metres above sea level) goes along the blue trail. You can enjoy a well-deserved rest sitting on a bench in front of the cottage. You won’t regret ordering a meal there. Return to Snilovské saddle by the green trail. This will take you approximately 30 minutes.
