Bobovec Observation Tower

Bobovec Lookout Tower stands at the summit of a steep hill overlooking the centre of the village. It can be clearly seen from the main roads and from the Slovak Astronomical Clock on St Michael’s Square, which is the starting point of a hiking trail to the tower following yellow markers. It is highly worth a visit.

The lookout tower is reached by 3-km hiking trail starting by the Slovak Astronomical Clock in Stará Bystrica. It can be reached on foot, but it is also a fine destination for a bicycle trip. The lookout tower is an exceptionally good place to watch sunrises and sunsets. It is illuminated in the evening.
